| A 3 MB file is transferred over a connection in 60 seconds. Determine the file size (in Kbytes) that can be transferred over the same connection in 20 seconds
Size of the transferred file = transfer time · transfer rate. Note that the transmission time in the second case is 60/20 = 3 times less than the time in the first case. Since the file transfer rate is the same, the file size that can be transferred in the second case is also 3 times smaller. It will be equal to 3/3 = 1MB = 1024KB.
