A 9KB file is transferred over a connection in 36 seconds. Determine how many seconds it takes to transfer the same file over a connection that is 1024 bps faster
Size of the transferred file = transfer time · transfer rate. The file transfer rate in the first case is 9216/36 = 256 bytes / sec. The transfer rate in the second case is 1024 bits = 128 bytes per second more than in the first, therefore, the original file can be transferred in 9216/384 = 24.
