Determine the mass of iron oxide (II) formed during the decomposition of 45 g of the starting material.
Decision:
Fe (OH) 2 = FeO + H2O
n (Fe (OH) 2 = 45/90 = 0.5 mol

n (FeO) = 0.5 mol
