Are there any similarities between the Scarlet and White Rose Wars and Wat Tyler’s Rebellion? Who can be considered the winner in this war?
What the Wat Tyler rebellion and the Scarlet and White Rose war have in common is that they were rebellions of one estate against the established state system. They could not have had the same success as the popular uprisings of the British in 1215 and 1265. In the 14th and 15th centuries the state structure of feudal England was the winner.
