As you know, flowers start to smell stronger after rain. How can this be explained?

| The smell of flowers depends on the evaporation of aromatic essential oils formed in the nectary of flowers. During the rain, water droplets fall into the cups of flowers, and from there they roll into the nectary. After rain, especially when the sun comes out, this mixture begins to evaporate more intensively than anhydrous essential oils would evaporate, and more odorous vapors appear in the air – the smell of flowers intensifies.
