ATP is synthesized in mitochondria and chloroplasts. What are the similarities and differences in the processes leading to the synthesis of these molecules in organoids.

In chloroplasts, ATP is synthesized during the light phase of photosynthesis and is spent on the assimilation of carbon in the dark phase of photosynthesis. ATP is formed in mitochondria as a result of oxidative phosphorylation, during the oxidation of substrates – carbohydrates, fatty acids, ATP energy generated in mitochondria is spent on all the needs of cells.
