Alleles of different genes located on homologous chromosomes were divided, and new combinations of genes appeared, i.e., gene recombination occurred. The appearance of recombinant combinations is explained by the fact that in meiosis between homologous chromosomes a crossingover can occur – gene exchange. This phenomenon is not always observed, therefore, the number of crossover individuals is much less than the main ones. Gamete types: Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ff.
