By what methods did the French colonialists assert their power in Algeria? Think whether it was possible in such a way to maintain dominance in the colony for a long time.

In my opinion, this behavior is simply “beyond the bounds”. War is always death and cruelty. There were many cases when attacks were carried out suddenly and people died before they could defend themselves and fight back. But in such a barbaric way to arrange a sale of bracelets with a cut off hand at the bazaar – this does not fit into my head at all.
