| Calculate the mass of the precipitate formed as a result of adding potassium hydroxide to 19 g of magnesium chloride solution with a mass fraction of 5% salt.
1) Compiled the reaction equation MgCl2 + 2KOH = Mg (OH) 2 + 2KCl
2) Calculated the mass of magnesium chloride
m (MgCl2) = 19 * 0.05 = 0.95g
3) Found the mass of magnesium hydroxide m (Mg (OH) 2) = 0.958 * 58/95 = 0.58g.
