| Calculate the pressure that the gas molecules produce on the walls of the vessel if the gas mass is 3 g, the volume is 0.5 x 10 ~ 3 m3, and the root mean square velocity of the molecules is 500 m / s.
Given:
v = 500m / s
V = 0.5 * 10 (-3) m3
m = 3 * 10 (-3) kg

Р = (1/3) ρv2,
Where ρ = m / v, hence ρ = 3 * 10 (-3) / 0.5 * 10 (-3) = 6 (kg / m3)
P = (1/3) 6 * 250000 = 500000 (Pa)
