Can the concept of brightness be applied to a star?

If we are talking about the radiation power per unit area of the star’s surface, then this value is the brightness. However, sometimes, especially in everyday life or in old publications, the brightness is understood as the brilliance of a star, that is, the illumination it creates at the distance of the Earth.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
