The images provided by the collecting lens depend on the location of the item. If it is between the lens and the focus, then the image is directly imaginary enlarged. If it is between focus and double focus, then the image will be real, enlarged and inverted. In the event that it is farther than double the focal length from the lens, the image will be real, reduced and inverted.
