Describe the main features of human sex cells.

Male reproductive cells – sperm – small, mobile, consist of a head with a nucleus, a neck and a tail. Female gametes – eggs – are large, immobile, contain a nucleus and a large amount of cytoplasm with nutrients, develop in special vesicles – follicles. The cycle of maturation and development of an egg is 28 days. The cycle of sperm development is 70–75 days, the time of movement along the vas deferens is 10–15 days, the viability in the air is 24 hours, in a woman’s body is 3-4 days.
