Describe the structure of cellulose macromolecules.

| Cellulose is a high molecular weight polysaccharide. Cellulose macromolecules are built from residues of cyclic glucose molecules. They are built from a cyclic form of glucose other than starch. The number of elementary units in cellulose macromolecules is higher than in starch macromolecules.
