Therefore, based on the results of crossbreeding, it is possible to determine this distance, which is measured in relative units — morganides (M). 1 M corresponds to 1% of crossover individuals in the offspring.
It can be seen from the results that crossing over is most likely to occur between the genes of normal wings and short wings, since the crossover frequency is 29%, and the frequency and distance are directly proportional to each other.
