Did the Crusades help or hinder the unification of France?

The Crusades saved France from the “extra” knights, making it easier for the kings to subjugate large feudal lords, and also contributed to the development of the monetary economy and the increase in mercenary troops – the support of the kings in their struggle against the feudal lords.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
