Does the amount of information received by a person depend on the length of the message?

Does not depend. A message carries information for a person if the information contained in it is new and understandable for him. Information is a person’s knowledge, the message should be informative. If the message is not informative, then the amount of information from the point of view of a person = 0. It is not the quantity that is important, but the quality of the information.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
