| Japan hesitated between who to attack – the USSR or the United States, after the defeat of Germany near Moscow decided to attack the United States and was defeated at Midway. The trouble is that the fundamental decision to wage war with the USA and not with the USSR was made long before the battle of Moscow – back in September 1941.
