Morality is a complex and multifaceted concept. It is not easy to immediately define this word and phenomenon. I think that this is a combination of positive personality traits of a person, his principles, internal convictions.
A huge role in the formation of morality is education. Previously, parents and teachers paid much more attention to the formation of this quality in children. The little man grew up on high ideals. All the guys and even the girls dreamed of being like Malchish-Kibalchish proud, strong, courageous and never surrender to the enemy, even overcoming the pain. The concepts of honor and dignity were familiar and close to young people. In the first place was the homeland and labor for its benefit. And, of course, close people. There was a deep respect for the parents of the younger generation, gratitude. Children were brought up in the spirit of equality and friendship between nations. And adults who grew up on these principles and absorbed them respected each other and the rights of each person. The principles of ethics and tact were not alien to the population. Friendship was appreciated. People took care of nature, took care of animals. These are all aspects of morality.
Now the vector of development of society has begun to shift towards Western values. Money is gaining more and more influence. Good one who knows how to make money at all costs. And it does not matter his education, upbringing and moral character. Rather, on the contrary, adherence to principles and norms impedes people in business. Only the one who goes over the heads of his comrades will be rich. There is no talk of morality. And the concept of moral norms is gradually shifting, its borders are being blurred. What yesterday was categorically unacceptable is today in the order of things.
Morality is most pronounced in specific actions. We can not always give a dictionary definition of a concept. But we can absolutely definitely determine whether a person has acted morally or not. And to decide for themselves as if they behaved themselves in a similar situation.
Duty and honor are necessary components of a moral personality. A man must be honest, true to his word. The skill of self-control is also important. I think that a moral person is a harmoniously developed and educated person. A person who continues to develop and educate himself throughout his life. Anyone who weighs decisions before this or that act, constantly analyzes his actions. One who knows how to recognize and, if possible, correct their mistakes.
