Art is an integral part of the life of every civilized and educated person. Art is the totality of everything that mankind has created: works of literature, masterpieces of painting, sculpture, architecture, musical compositions. Even while walking around the city, its inhabitants constantly encounter artifacts of their fellow countrymen: expertly crafted buildings in the city center in different architectural styles, modern music that sounds from speakers in squares or even in supermarkets, sculptures of famous figures carved from stone.
The influence of art on man is difficult and almost impossible to overestimate. It motivates, creates a moral base of moral values, instills the ability to create and admire the beautiful. Quite a few people admire art, but becoming a true connoisseur of it is very difficult. To become a connoisseur means to learn to distinguish the original from cheap fakes and copies, to see the importance of even the fact that others may seem ordinary and primitive.
Even harder than evaluating art, of course, creating it. The process of creating real works of art can take months, years, decades. There are many brilliant artists who have painted for several years, day after day supplementing them with new details, many writers who created the images of heroes, reinforcing them with new and new thoughts.
I believe that any educated person should be at least a little versed in art. It is best to instill a love of art from childhood: to go to museums with art, to exhibitions of paintings, to show the cultural places of the city. This will have a positive effect and over time, the child will grow into a knowledgeable person who understands the cultural traditions of his past and present, a person who is able to create decent art for future generations.
