| Law is part of social control, it expresses the basic tenets of a given society, based on state support. Law as a social institution is a way of regulating people’s behavior, a measure of their freedom, which finds its expression in a system of generally binding social norms established or sanctioned by the state, regulating the actions, behavior and relations of people and secured by state coercion or its threat.
