Explain how the hydraulic press and jack work.

| In a hydraulic press or jack, two cylinders with different diameters are filled with liquid and connected together with a tube. When the force F1 acts on the piston in a small cylinder, pressure is exerted on the liquid. The fluid transfers the same pressure to the piston in the second cylinder. Acting with a small force on the handle of the hydraulic press, it is possible to cause an action tens or even hundreds of times greater force from the side of the fluid on the second piston. This force can lift the vehicle or deform the body between the piston and the solid plate above it.
