Explain the origin of the modern words “barbarian”, “vandal”. What events in history are these concepts associated with?

Barbarians were peoples whose language they did not understand and which seemed to them rude and uneducated. Vandals were called peoples who captured Rome and plundered it, causing tremendous damage to ancient culture.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
