Explain whether a person can affect the volume of the lungs when entering and exhaling: a) by willpower; b) doing jogging, swimming, skiing.

By effort of will, a person can not affect the volume of the lungs during inhalation and exhalation, but training (running, swimming) is possible. Respiratory movements do not obey the will of man. But you can inhale and exhale more strongly or hold your breath briefly. When swimming or running, the vital capacity of the lungs increases, therefore, the volume of the lungs also increases.
