| Predatory fungi are fungi that feed on nematodes (parasitic worms). They do this with the help of rings or loops – special devices on the body. If the nematode enters the loop, the rings are compressed and tightly pull the victim that it dies. When growing vegetables and mushrooms, there is a need to combat parasites, and carnivorous fungi do an excellent job of this.
