Under the will usually understand a person’s conscious regulation of his behavior, providing overcoming difficulties on the way to achieving the goal. Volitional action performs two functions: incentive, forcing to fight obstacles to achieve the goal and overcome them, and inhibitory – the ability to keep oneself from unwanted actions. Exposure and restraint are the same manifestations of will as activity in achieving what was intended. Figuratively speaking, will is desire, which has become an action. Volitional action, being the result of a careful analysis of all possible options, ends with an assessment of what was committed and the correction of errors if they were made.
