Great French bourgeois revolution – results

The “old order” was crushed: royal absolutism, inequality of estates, the dominance of Catholicism in spiritual life faded into oblivion. The principle of separation of powers is legislatively enshrined and the fundamental rights and freedoms of people are guaranteed. The Civil Code (1804) enshrined: the inviolability of private property and the principle of freedom of private enterprise, established legal principles for regulating property relations. The old aristocracy has lost its influence on power. New social forces, above all the big industrial and commercial bourgeoisie, achieved their rise to power. The revolutionary and then Napoleonic wars, having redrawn the map of Europe, created a new geopolitical situation on the continent.
