How are state borders set in the oceans, air and outer space?

The borders of state-lines and imaginary vertical surfaces passing along these lines defining the limits of the state’s territory (land, water, bowels, airspace), i.e. limits to the spread of sovereignty. Maritime state borders between neighboring states are established by contract. Outer space is located outside the earth’s territory and its legal regime is determined by the principles and norms of international space law
