How are the alveoli of the lungs arranged? What is their function? What is a Sufractant?

Alveoli – numerous thinnest vesicles formed by a single-layer epithelium, braided by a dense network of capillaries. Part of the epithelial cells secrete a special substance – a suffractant, which prevents adhesion of the alveoli and has an antibacterial effect. Gas exchange occurs through the walls of the alveolar capillaries due to the diffusion of gases.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
