How are twins born? What kinds of twins are there?
November 11, 2020 | Education
| Fraternal twins are formed when two eggs are fertilized by two spermatozoa, with each fetus having its own fetal membrane and a separate placenta. Thus, babies of the same or different sexes can be born, similar to each other no more than ordinary brothers and sisters. Identical twins appear as a result of the fact that after the fertilization of one egg with one sperm, the zygote divides in two, and two embryos with an identical set of chromosomes develop, these will be same-sex children, with each fetus having its own shell, but a common placenta.
