How can you explain Dalton’s law for the pressure of a mixture of gases?

The gas pressure on the walls of the vessel is the result of the collision of gas molecules with these walls. Considering the gas from these positions, it is easy to understand that the number of collisions with the wall of molecules of each type will depend on how many molecules of this type are present in the gas. And from this it follows that the total pressure, which is the sum of collisions of all molecules, is obtained by adding the number of collisions of molecules of each type.
