How did Russia’s policy towards the Ottoman Empire differ from the position of the European powers?

During its political weakening in the 18th-19th centuries, the Ottoman Empire became the object of the so-called “Eastern question”. The solutions to the “Eastern crisis” divided the European monarchs into two camps. It was not profitable for the British and French to allow the complete collapse of the Empire, they insisted on economic pressure through loans, subsidies and unequal agreements, Russia and Austria saw the solution to the conflict differently: they insisted on the separation of the Empire in order to strengthen their presence in the Balkans.
