How did the animals of semi-deserts and deserts adapt to their habitat?

In the summer heat, some animals hibernate, many can do without water for a long time (camels) or get by with a small amount of water (snakes, lizards). In the heat they hide in the sand (snakes), in holes, and go hunting at night, quickly move in search of water and food (kulans, gazelles, saigas, jerboas).
