How do autotrophs get energy?

Autotrophs are able to independently create all the organic substances they need to build cells and vital processes from inorganic substances – water, carbon dioxide and others. They receive energy for such complex transformations either due to sunlight and are called phototrophs, or due to the energy of chemical transformations of mineral compounds, and in this case are called chemotrophs.
