How do prism spectra differ from diffraction spectra?

We observe one spectrum in a prism. When replacing the prism with a diffraction grating, we will observe spectra of different orders.
In the dispersion spectrum, the spectral line widths are different; in the diffraction spectrum of the same order, the spectral line widths are approximately the same.
