A low pressure is created in the evaporator by the compressor and the freon boils, turning into a gaseous state. Its temperature becomes lower than the temperature in the refrigerator chamber and the air in the refrigerator gives off heat to freon, cools and goes down, and warmer air rises in its place. From gaseous in the compressor, freon goes into liquid in the condenser, after which it goes back to the gaseous state in the evaporator.
