How is the relationship between the fetus and the environment carried out?

The relationship of the fetus with the environment is carried out using several formations. The umbilical cord is a cord-like organ extending from the placenta that connects the fetus to the mother’s body and carries out nutrition and respiration of the fetus. Fetal bladder – special membranes, in the form of a bag, surrounding the fetus, provide mechanical protection. The amniotic fluid, which fills the space between the fetus and the amnion (inner fetal membrane), provides protection, movement and development of the fetus.
