| 1) Determine all the energy contained in 450 g of carbohydrates, if 1 g of them contains 17.6 kJ of energy: 17.6 x 450 = 7920 (kJ).
2) Since the efficiency of the process is 50%, it means that only 50% of the energy will be absorbed, i.e. 7920: 2 = 3960 (kJ).
