How was the Joule-Lenz law established? How does it read?

English scientist J.P. Joule and Russian scientist E.H. Lenz in the first half of the 19th century. the experiment was carried out independently of each other.
The results they obtained made it possible to establish a formula for calculating the amount of heat released in a conductor when a current passes through it. Passing current of varying strength through conductors of different resistance and measuring the amount of heat released, they came to the dependence

This expression is called the Joule-Lenz law. The amount of heat released in a conductor is proportional to the square of the current strength, the resistance of the conductor, and the current flow time.
