| In a curly pumpkin, spherical fruits are the dominant feature (A), elongated ones are recessive (a). A homozygous plant with round fruits was crossed with a plant with elongated fruits. Determine the phenotypes: 1) F1 offspring 2) F2 offspring; 3) offspring from backcrossing F2 plants of all genotypic classes with a parental form with elongated fruits.
1) In F1, all offspring with spherical fruits;
2) in F2 3/4 offspring with spherical fruits: 1/4 with elongated fruits;
3) from the backcrossing of the F2 hybrid with the AA genotype, all offspring with spherical fruits, with the Aa genotype – 1/2 with spherical and 1/2 with elongated, with genotype aa – with elongated fruits.
