| In some diseases, the conduction of excitation from the brain to the spinal cord is disturbed in humans. Is the knee reflex preserved? Will there be a sensation of pain when the skin of the leg is punctured? Are voluntary movements of the lower limbs possible?
The knee reflex persists. The sensation of pain when the skin is pricked will not persist, since the conductive function to the brain is impaired. Arbitrary movements are possible.
