| In the bowels of Saturn and Jupiter, there is liquid hydrogen in a metallic state. What is the difference between the state of metallic hydrogen and liquefied molecular gas?
The metallic state of hydrogen occurs at high pressure. In this case, one of the electrons of the H2 molecule is socialized between all the atoms, as happens in metals. Metallic hydrogen has a high electrical conductivity. Above the metallic hydrogen shell, there is a zone of liquid molecular hydrogen.
