Currently, the study of the laws of heredity continues at all three levels: organismic, cellular and molecular. Genetics has become the basis for the emergence of a new branch of biology – genetic engineering, associated with a directed change in the structure of genes, the synthesis at the molecular level of proteins necessary for humans. Knowledge of genetic laws is used in breeding to breed new breeds of animals and plant varieties. Advances in the development of genetics made it possible to identify hereditary diseases of a person, to develop methods to prevent various anomalies, to conduct their early diagnosis and treatment.
