In what units are electric voltage and electric field strength expressed?

In SI, the voltage between the ends of the conductor is taken as a unit of voltage, at which the work of moving a positive electric charge of 1 C along this conductor is equal to 1 J. This unit is named volt (V) in honor of the Italian scientist Alessandro Volta (1745-1827): 1B = 1 J / C. Field strength is measured in V / m (volt divided by meter).
