In which countries does the presidency exist? Using additional sources, find out what are the restrictions on holding the presidency in different countries.

In the United States (as well as in Russia), a presidential candidate must be at least 35 years old. By the way, in some countries (for example in Latvia) the lower age limit reaches 40 years. The hardest thing for young politicians is to live in Italy – in this country, according to the Constitution, a person at least 50 years old can apply for the highest post. So the 49 – year – old “young man” will simply not be admitted to the presidential elections. At the same time, in most countries of the world, there is a certain pattern – the stronger the presidential power, the younger the head of state can be. In principle, this approach is probably justified – energy is required to exercise broad powers.
There is another restriction for candidates for the highest post, which is found in all countries of the world – the residency requirement. In Greece, for example, it is equal to five years, in our country – ten, in the USA – 14. At the same time, the US Constitution (Article 2 – I, Section 4) prohibits a person who was not born in the United States from running for president … Many American politicians regard this demand as an anachronism. The United States is a country of immigrants, and this article of the Constitution automatically violates the political rights of millions of visitors. Even in most European countries, there are no such restrictions.
