The economy can be political and related to laws and regulations. The production, distribution and consumption of goods and services within a country has many laws and regulations that organize how work is done (labor laws, safety laws, environmental laws, and minimum wage laws that businesses must comply with). These laws and regulations can sometimes regulate how much or how little goods and services cost (minimum or maximum price). In addition, there are taxes, fees, and regulations that apply to the import of goods, which may include the raw materials needed to manufacture or export products and services to other countries.
