Is it beneficial for the country’s economy to protect weak domestic firms producing low-quality products?
Everyone is objectively interested in putting things in order in the domestic consumer market – manufacturers, consumers, and the state. Moreover, the state should be interested in this in the first place, because it is in the consumer market that the bulk of the population, faced with deception, willingly or unwillingly concludes that the state is unable or unwilling to protect it. At the same time, the proclaimed goals in the field of social protection of citizens are discredited. Plus, huge economic losses, wasted resources. Due to falsification of products and a significant amount of goods in “shadow” circulation, the state does not receive billions of rubles in the budget of the country. Thus, in general, this problem is not only social, but also economic and political.
