Is it possible to detect cosmic dust in the Galaxy with the naked eye?

Cosmic dust clouds are easily detected by their shielding effect on starlight in the form of dark gaps against the starry background. For example, the region of strong absorption of light in the southern part of the Milky Way is called the “Coal bag”.
