Is it possible to measure the brightness of a star in decibels?

The decibel, like magnitude, is a differential logarithmic measure of power. Decibels are used in acoustics. The use of both quantities is based on the Weber – Fechner psychophysiological law. One decibel is equivalent to 0.25m.
