It is known that people use molluscs for food, thanks to them they get pearls, mollusks are important links in food chains. And what harm can shellfish do to humans?
1) Agricultural pests – slugs, grape snails.
2) They are intermediate hosts of parasitic worms – small pond snail.
3) The mollusk is a ship worm that grinds through passages in the underwater parts of wooden farm buildings, destroying them.
4) They settle on the bottoms of ships, reducing their navigability.
